Radial Entertainment Names Carrie Ferman as Chief Operating Officer

Radial Entertainment announced on June 17 2026 that Carrie Ferman will join the company as chief operating officer (COO). The appointment was revealed during a keynote interview at the StreamTV Show in Denver, where Radial CEO Jeff Shultz highlighted the new hire as the final piece of the executive team.

Ferman brings more than 25 years of operational, strategic and financial leadership from some of the world’s largest media companies. She most recently served as executive vice‑president of business strategy and operations at Sony Pictures Television (SPT). In that role she oversaw strategy, business development, operations, transformation and digital content distribution – responsibilities that match Radial’s integrated model.

At Sony, Ferman led the modernization and automation of the company’s digital media supply chain, developed a growth plan for fast‑moving ad‑supported television (FAST) channels and performed strategic portfolio reviews of SPT’s domestic and international production, digital and cable assets. She also executed mergers and acquisitions and managed complex post‑acquisition integrations.

Prior to her U.S. role, Ferman was senior vice‑president of strategy and M&A for Sony Pictures Television International in London. She coordinated strategic planning for 22 companies across 18 countries, working with creative talent and independent production companies to expand Sony’s global content pipeline.

Before joining Sony, Ferman held strategy and business development positions at NBC Universal and Time Warner, and began her career in corporate finance at The Walt Disney Company. She earned an MBA with honors from Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business and a BA in economics and philosophy from UCLA.

In her new role at Radial, Ferman will oversee strategic growth across the company’s operations, including content distribution, technology and business functions. She will also lead the integration of new acquisitions into Radial’s platform and coordinate cross‑functional efforts to scale the company’s 70,000‑title catalog across FAST, AVOD, SVOD and TVOD platforms in more than 50 global markets.

“Radial has built an incredibly powerful global engine spanning every major distribution format from FAST to theatrical across 50-plus markets,” Ferman said. “The momentum behind their strategy is undeniable. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on bridging growth strategy with rigorous operational execution to drive scale, enable market expansion and maximize efficiency. I am thrilled to partner with Jeff and the entire team to realize this next chapter of global growth and operational excellence.”

Shultz added, “We’ve spent the last few months assembling a team and a platform built for global scale, and Carrie is exactly the operator we needed to take it to the next level. Her experience running operations, supply chain and M&A integration at Sony at the level she did is a direct match for where Radial is headed. Her arrival puts the finishing touch on the management infrastructure we’ve been building, and I couldn’t be more confident in where we go from here.”

Radial Entertainment is a newly formed global entertainment company that combines the FilmRise and Shout! Studios brands. The company is backed by Oaktree Capital Management, a global asset‑management firm that manages more than $200 billion in assets.

With Ferman’s appointment, Radial signals its intent to accelerate growth and strengthen its operational foundation as it expands its catalog and distribution reach worldwide.
